Soon, on August 14, 2021, it will open in Odessa XII міжнародний кінофестиваль (ОМКФ).

This year, the Odesa International Film Festival is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence with a focus on national cinema. The festival program includes more than 50 films.

The opening ceremony of the film festival is scheduled for 19:00 at the Odesa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.

The beginning of the film festival will traditionally begin with a parade of guests on the red carpet at 18:00.

The Odesa International Film Festival is one of the largest audience film festivals in Eastern Europe, which takes place annually in the cinematographic capital of Ukraine - the city of Odesa.

OMCF was established in 2010 to popularize high-quality intellectual cinema among Ukrainian viewers, as well as to support and develop Ukrainian cinema in the country and abroad. Over the years of its existence, the festival managed to become the brightest film event of the summer in Ukraine, as well as firmly establish itself on the world film map.

The Odesa International Film Festival is exclusive film premieres, master classes by leading Ukrainian and international film professionals, vivid festival events and, of course, a unique festival atmosphere!

For the first time in history, the solemn closing ceremony of the Odesa Film Festival will take place outdoors on the Potemkin Stairs.
Potemkin Stairs, which in 2015, with the support of the Odesa International Film Festival, was granted the status of "Treasure of European Film Culture" by the European Film Academy. will become a huge hall for spectators, where everyone will be able to see the ceremony of awarding the winners, starting at 20:00.

On this day, the best films will receive the main awards of the festival: the Golden Duke, the Grand Prix for the best film, the Duke for the best feature film, the Duke for the best directorial work, the Duke for the best actor/actress, the Duke for the best short film.
After the award ceremony, there will be an open air film screening accompanied by the Odesa Symphony Orchestra.
The closing film of the 12th Odessa International Film Festival will be Charlie Chaplin's film "Baby", which turns 100 years old this year.
